Fall 2001: Creation of Task Force
  • members chosen
  • project coordinator hired
  • office set-up
  • first planning meetings held
Spring 2002: Data-Collection
  • met with roughly 500 people in 33 campus groups and committees, including an open student forum and a junior faculty luncheon
  • conducted faculty survey and added questions to senior survey
  • conducted benchmarking research on Tufts' peer institutions
  • created Student Advisory Committee
Summer 2002: Synthesis
  • immersed ourselves in and analyzed all the information and input collected thus far
  • prepared status report for release in the fall
Fall 2002: Community Outreach
Spring 2003: Recommendations
  • conducted 36 community outreach meetings to solicit community's feedback on ideas presented in interim report
  • drafted and finalized recommendations
  • submitted Final Report to the President.
